Gyfts
Gyfts: “Condition-first discovery platform connecting seekers with practitioners across Metaphysical, Alternative, Complementary, and Holistic (MACH) health modalities.”
Who assigns evidence ratings on Gyfts?
“Our in-house editorial team assigns initial ratings based on systematic review of published literature. Ratings are then reviewed by qualified independent practitioners and, where possible, by researchers with relevant expertise. All content is flagged with a reviewer name and date.”
View in the company profileDoes a low evidence rating mean a modality is ineffective?
“Not necessarily. Many holistic practices are genuinely difficult to study using conventional RCT methodology — for instance, how do you blind a massage? Low ratings often reflect a lack of research funding and methodological challenges rather than lack of real-world benefit.”
View in the company profileHow is Gyfts different from a medical reference site?
“Gyfts is a discovery and connection platform — not a medical reference. We provide evidence context to help seekers make informed decisions, but our primary goal is to connect you with qualified practitioners who can give you personalised guidance.”
View in the company profileCan I trust a practitioner whose modality has Emerging Evidence?
“Evidence level is a rating of the modality's research base, not the individual practitioner's skill or suitability for your needs. A highly skilled practitioner working in an early-evidence field can still offer real value. Always review practitioner credentials, experience, and approach.”
