Does my app need to comply with the EAA?
“If your app provides consumer services in the EU (banking, e-commerce, transport, communications, audiovisual services), yes. Micro-enterprises (fewer than 10 employees and turnover below €2M) are exempt.”

“EN 301 549, in its v3.2.1 version of March 2021, which incorporates WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA criteria adapted for native software. For a native iOS app the applicable clause is 11, covering software, not clause 9, which covers web.”
View in the company profileDo I need to meet WCAG 2.1 or WCAG 2.2?
“Today, WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The technical reference is EN 301 549 v3.2.1, the only version cited in the Official Journal of the EU, and it is the one that incorporates WCAG 2.1.”

“No. They detect labelling and contrast issues, but cannot assess whether the navigation flow makes sense with VoiceOver or whether the experience is genuinely usable. Manual testing with assistive technologies is always required.”
