How does an interlock device work?
“When you start your vehicle, you have to blow into a mouthpiece that’s connected to the ignition interlock device, sometimes called an in-car breathalyzer. The interlock device will then measure your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) and automatically determine whether your BrAC is low enough to allow the car to start.”
