Heroku
Heroku is a Cloud platform as a service.
What is the primary benefit of using a managed data service (DBaaS)?
“The primary benefit of a managed data service (DBaaS) is the elimination of operational overhead, allowing your team to focus on application development rather than database administration.”
在公司资料中查看Are Heroku's data services secure and compliant with regulations like HIPAA and PCI?
“Yes. Heroku’s managed data services offer enterprise-grade security and compliance features. Heroku Shield provides a dedicated runtime environment that offers HIPAA compliance for Heroku Postgres, Key Value-Store, and Kafka and PCI DSS Level 1 for Heroku Postgres. Additionally, features like encryption-at-rest and Heroku Private Spaces allow you to isolate your data services within a secure network boundary.”
在公司资料中查看Can I connect my Heroku application to an existing or external database (AWS RDS, Azure, GCP)?
“Yes. Heroku is flexible and allows you to securely connect your Heroku application to external databases running on AWS RDS, Azure, Google Cloud, or on-premise systems. This is a common practice for teams who are migrating to Heroku or have a multi-cloud architecture.”
在公司资料中查看How are Heroku's managed data services priced?
“Heroku’s managed data services use a predictable pricing model based on performance tiers and resource scale (RAM, Storage, Connection Limits). There are no hidden fees for Input/Output operations (IOPS) or data transfer within the same region.”
