“For most Malaysian residential and commercial projects, UPVC offers the best value: rust-proof, UV-resistant, lightweight, and cost-effective. Aluminum suits projects requiring a 20–30 year service life. The right choice depends on your project budget and expected building lifespan. Everplast supplies both SIRIM-certified UPVC systems and can advise on the right specification for your project.”

“Yes, when correctly sized and installed. A 150mm UPVC gutter with downpipes every 10–12metres handles peak monsoon intensity without overflow. The failures you see during monsoon season are almost always undersized profiles, or blocked gutters, not UPVC material failure itself.”

“UPVC gutters last 10–15 years in Malaysian conditions. Aluminum gutters last 20–30 years. Cleaning gutters twice a year, before and after monsoon season, is the single highest-returnmaintenance action to extend gutter lifespan.”

“Low-grade UPVC does， typically within 5–8 years. Quality UPVC gutters use UV-stabilised resin compounds that significantly slow degradation.”
